Office
furniture and colours
The office furniture needs to be easy to
maintain and as much as possible usage resistant, as well as with antistatic
effect and fire protected. With regard to the desk, it should be made of strong
materials: as durable wood, polypropylene or metallic profile as aluminium.
Concerning the seats, is recommended that they be upholstered with fabrics,
cloth or mesh – that type of mesh allowing contact surface aeration. The office
floor may be made of wood, textile or covered with carpet from a way to
another, or with ceramic tiles. However, the textiles are still proffered in
offices. These, the curtains, or the carpets, are offering a relaxing and not
distracting environment and create a proper acoustic comfort. Alternating
surface materials on the floor, you may create an inspired basis for office
furniture with various functions. Anyhow, for the reception, or in linking
spaces, these may be a bit stronger or mixed so as to produce an eye catching
contrast. When you arrange office space and office furniture, take into account
the specific activity, the number of people who will work in that space and not
least, the aspects that match the specific business activity.
Because we are living in the XXI century,
there are times when it is very important what others think about us. No matter
the circumstances, a messy office may give the impression that you are a messy
person too. For sure no one wishes such
an office. On a clean desk is always easy to work and find things easily. Here
comes the use and management of the office stationery. How can you arrange it in a nice way? Spend
10 minutes at the end of each day and sort the office stationery that can be
stored and the one which needs to be discarded. Move everything you have on the
desk to the floor or on the table beside you. Drop unnecessary office
stationery such as old documents or torn paper scraps. Do not move large things
as the printer or a desktop computer.
Decide which are the most important and the most used. Items such as pencils, pens, scissors and
other office stationery, put them in a drawer –an in handy one (or for writing
items in a special support of jar). Place frequently used objects in easy to
reach area. This can be a shelf or a drawer. It is compulsory to sort them so
you always know where they are. Store
the items you do not frequently use in less accessible areas. In case you are
running out of space, yet you have many shelves, you may use binders or storage
boxes. Items which are not commonly used must not be placed in accessible spots
of the office. Therefore, by putting these items elsewhere, you will make much
more space for the frequently used objects and office stationery. Place the
used paper in a box. If these are still in pending and need to be finished,
mark them using sticky notes so you can easily remind them. Office stationery proper management provides
a clear mind!
I agree with you. Office stationery plays an important role in any office.
